Treatment Settings

Meta House offers three unique treatment settings to provide a continuum of care that meets the needs of women at distinct times in their journeys through the recovery process.

.

Residential Treatment Program

  • For women who need 24-hour care and benefit from a therapeutic communal living environment.
  • Meta House’s Residential Treatment Program was Wisconsin’s first AODA treatment facility to allow children to reside with their mothers during treatment. Children also receive direct services, including play therapy and academic assistance.
  • Many women arrive pregnant. Meta House provides the help they need to safely deliver and care for their children.

Did You Know?

Meta House was recognized by the federal government in 2005 as a facility uniquely equipped to help mothers in recovery and their children.

.
Outpatient Services Program

  • For women who need intensive support but are not in need of the 24-hour structure of the Residential Treatment Program.

  • In response to clients’ needs, Meta House offers three levels of support through a Day Treatment Program, an Intensive Outpatient Program and an Outpatient Program.

  • On-site child care is available.

.
Housing Program

  • For women who have successfully begun recovery and are ready for independent living, with supportive services.

  • In the Housing Program women build upon their power over substance abuse, reunite with their children and prepare to rejoin society as productive citizens.

  • A clean, secure, family-friendly environment greatly helps clients overcome addiction, resist relapses and rebuild their lives.

  • Clients pay at least 30% of their adjusted gross income as rent.

  • Clients must be certified as homeless to be eligible for this treatment setting.
