Latoya's Story

The greatest assurance of a woman’s recovery from a drug or alcohol addiction is the amount of time she remains in treatment for her substance use. Becoming a better mother also plays an important role in her success. Latoya, a graduate of Meta House, has been substance free for five years. She was able to stay in treatment for the time she needed to break the grips of her addiction. Latoya was also able to bring her three young children into the treatment setting with her, building her confidence as a mother.

Meta House recently held a Digital Advocacy Workshop for graduates to teach them basic skills in storytelling, photography, and computer software so that they may create their own stories of recovery. View Latoya’s story, in her own words, to hear how her time at Meta House helped her overcome her addiction and rebuild her family.

Wisconsin Gives Back

We are grateful for your past support and are excited to offer you a unique way to support again... and this time you'll get a great gift in return!

We've partnered with Wisconsin Gives Back to offer our supporters the beautiful (made in Wisconsin) 2012 Wisconsin Wall Calendar. When you purchase this calendar on our behalf for $15, Wisconsin Gives Back will give us $9 every time! That means 300 calendars sold will help us raise $2700 to support mothers and children and Meta House.

Instead of purchasing your calendar from the mall or from the drug store this year, please purchase this 2012 calendar to support us! You can order your calendar (or more) right now online on the Wisconsin Gives Back website. Click here to go directly to our profile.

Thank you for your continued support! Enjoy your calendar and please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with someone you know.
