Reclaiming Women's Lives, Rebuilding FamiliesThe long-held dream of Meta House to provide its treatment services from one campus has come true! To read more about the move, click on this recent article from The Business Journal. Updated Mission Statement: Meta House helps women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction reclaim their lives and rebuild their families. Its model program meets the unique needs of women and their children, ending the generational cycle of substance abuse. Do you shop online?Have you made GoodSearch your default search engine? Meta House has partnered with GoodSearch.com, a Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half of its advertising revenue to designated charities. Every time you search the Web using GoodSearch.com (after selecting Meta House as the charity you would like to support) and then search as usual, Meta House earns a penny. If you make GoodSearch your default search engine, either on your homepage or by installing their toolbar, then your regular usage will help us earn a sizeable donation! In addition, their sister site GoodShop.com allows you to shop at more than 1,000 of your favorite online stores (like Amazon, ebay, Target, priceline, iTunes, etc.), most of whom even offer special deals and coupons through the website. You must go to the store’s site through the GoodShop.com website, and they will donate a percentage of your purchases to Meta House! Meta House is excited about these opportunities and hopes that you will help spread the word by using them and telling your friends and family as well. |
A Special Night to Honor Meta House’s Visionary LeaderCelebrate with us at the 'Changing Lives, Changing Milwaukee' Gala honoring Francine Feinberg for 25 years of service to the organization. Saturday, November 21, 2009, 6-11PM Buy your tickets now so that you don't miss this special, one-time event! The smooth sounds of Midnight Groove will create a relaxed yet sophisticated ambiance in the Grain Exchange ballroom. A gourmet meal prepared by Bartolotta Restaurants will be served followed by a brief live auction. A short program will chronicle how Dr. Feinberg has led the agency which, in the past 25 years, has saved the lives of so many individuals and families, and the Milwaukee community more than $511 million in costs that would have likely been incurred in the absence of treatment. After dinner, guests will dance the night away, and be able to purchase raffle tickets and artwork by children of Meta House clients. Co-chairs for the event are Carolyn Chamberlin & Jane Stromwall. Proceeds benefit Meta House programming. For more information, reservations, corporate tables, sponsorship opportunities or raffle tickets, please call Wendy Cozzens at 414.977.5807 or go to http://www.metahouse.org/gala/
